Commitment and Expectations: KDA Volunteers will be assigned a day and time to complete their tasks. Volunteers are expected to fulfill their assignments unless otherwise communicated. In the event of absence or other conflicts, Volunteers are responsible for taking initiative for finding an appropriate substitute and informing KDA staff of the change. *

Professionalism: TA's will be dressed according to KDA dress code for their assigned class. All volunteers are expected to come on time for their assigned task, and to conduct themselves with professionalism at all times while representing KDA. *

Time Sheets and Compensation : Volunteers will be responsible for recording their work hours in the KDA Volunteer Timesheet. by filling out a paper form at the front desk OR scanning the QR code in the lobby. Volunteers are able to use their time to fulfill volunteer or service hour requirements for school OR use their time to fulfill KDA Volunteer Scholarship requirements. Students may NOT use the same hours to fulfill both (e.g. Monday 3:00-3:30 can either fulfill school service hours OR KDA volunteer hours, but not both), but students may use different hours to fulfill different requirements (e.g. Monday 3:00-3:30 can fulfill school service hours and Friday 3:15-4:15 can fulfill KDA volunteer hours) *

TA Training Class: All TA's will be required to attend two 60-minute teaching assistant training classes, held at KDA at the start of the school year. Class dates and times will be emailed during the summer break.
