ABOUT THE KDA VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
KDA Volunteer Scholarships are available on a limited basis. These scholarships provide a tuition discount for families who donate their time to help at KDA on a weekly basis, or who are able to be a host family for KDA’s guest teaching artists. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and are responsible for a variety of tasks, such as cleaning the studios or helping at the front desk. Students age 12+ may volunteer as a Teaching Assistant. Volunteers are responsible for logging their hours in the Volunteer Timesheet Folder located at the front desk. Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of 1 hour/week at the studio, scheduled prior to the start of the school year. In the event of a schedule change or cancellation, volunteers are responsible for giving KDA a minimum of 24 hours notice, as well as scheduling a makeup time in order to fulfill their task(s). Scholarships are awarded during the summer for the upcoming school year. Families are expected to fulfill their volunteer duties throughout the school year in order to maintain their status as scholarship recipient.
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
