Eligibility: A dancer must be enrolled for the full school year (August-May) to be eligible for a KDA Scholarship. *

Extenuating Circumstances: *

Examples of Extenuating Circumstances include, but are not limited to: Sudden and unexpected death of a child's parent or caregiver; Sudden and unforeseen major illness or injury resulting in extreme financial strain on the family; Loss of home due to flood or fire. Examples of Extenuating Circumstances DO NOT include, but are not limited to: Inability to volunteer due to everyday family schedule; Ineligibility for KDA Volunteer Scholarship due to lack of previous enrollment; Unemployment, poor economy, or minor medical issues (sudden or ongoing).

Due to the nature of qualifying events, a family is eligible to receive KDA's Extenuating Circumstances Scholarship for ONE SCHOOL YEAR ONLY. Upon completion of the school year, families are welcome to apply annually for KDA's Volunteer Scholarship.

For families not currently enrolled at KDA: *

All new students must participate in a trial period of two weeks in order to be placed into KDA's program and determine eligibility for an Extenuating Circumstance Scholarship. During this time, students will be assessed on their technique and placement, as well as their attitude, work ethic, and commitment to class.
